Biography

When I was a kid my father Leonard and his musician friends would have these jam parties that seemed to go on all the time. Them "old cats" really knew how to have a good time! That's when my interest in playing music really began. By the time I turned 14 years old I began to watch them play, with interest. I tried to learn chords by watching my dad, but that was pretty hard to do because he would lay his guitar (strings up) on his lap and play the thing "fingers down". So, I fixed my eyes on the guitar of the guy next to him, “Sonny” Miller, my dad’s best friend. I learned a few basic chords and my first song this way. Eventually, I found a hand drafted chord chart in my dad’s guitar case from which I learned a few more chords. It wasn't long before I tried my hand at creating my own songs. I was soon addicted! To me, it's like meditation or therapy that's non-exclusive to emotional condition- happy, sad, manic, depressed. I believe there's a song for everything.

Now, here I am, about 3.5 Decades after writing my first song, attempting to record my entire song catalog. With the initiation of 3.5 DECADES VOLUME I, my journey begins with a suitcase filled with life experiences, memories, good times and hard times- to be presented as songs. Some are of collaborative effort when I wrote music to unsuspecting poems that were handed to me. The songs on the CD/Play-list will be added in no particular order and they are not fully refined. For now, I'll just call them semiprecious. I just feel the need to get this project going as I've already waited long enough. My goal is to record as much of the 52+ Song catalog as possible in 2010 and put the demos out there. After I get a feel for which songs are best received, I plan to put together more refined versions. Maybe even venture outside the open mike night and private party scene.

The play-list in the jukebox will be constantly changing as I continue to add copyrighted material so check back often.

If you would like to help accelerate this project, monetary contributions and investment deals are being considered. Either way, I'm determined to continue with my recording and touring goals.

Describing the sound, I would have to say it's Rock, Alternative, Dark Country Blues with a Random Splash of Happy :-)

My hope is that you will enjoy listening to the songs, as I am grateful to be able to play them for you. Cheers!
